Auxillium Fund
In 2021, given the development and authorization of vaccines against COVID-19 in the world, the new great challenge was the vaccination of the population. The federal government outlined a strategy for the distribution of vaccines throughout the country and requested the support of the private initiative and social organizations to support vaccination events and brigades. Aware of this great need, Pedro Ochoa, a young Juarez-El Paso leader and founder of the nonprofit Auxillium, approached Fundación Paso del Norte to establish this fund. Thanks to his initiative and with the support of community leaders, businesses on both sides of the border and our foundation, a campaign was carried out to raise funds for the Auxillium Fund, which would allocate its resources to promote vaccination in Ciudad Juárez, supporting the federal government with logistics expenses that they did not contemplate, for example: tents, tables, chairs, hydration, food, stationery supplies and other materials that would be used at the vaccination points and by volunteer personnel.
It has been a true privilege to be able to help Ciudad Juárez and its vaccination events against COVID-19, and to learn from the Fundación Paso Del Norte, whose staff contributes professionally every day to improve the quality of life in the city.
