Program description

En alianza con FICOSEC financiamos proyectos para atender la violencia de género y la violencia sexual infantil en Ciudad Juárez. Esta inversión busca fortalecer proyectos que ofrezcan servicios de atención y estrategias de prevención en zonas de la ciudad donde la incidencia de este tipo de violencias es muy alta.

Desde el 2022, este programa adoptó el nombre de Entrelazando Redes por una Vida Libre de Violencia después de haber operado desde el 2016 como una colaboración anual entre FICOSEC y Fundación Paso del Norte. Ahora es un fondo establecido y una estrategia multianual que busca crecer y evolucionar para lograr un impacto sistémico ante estas problemáticas.

Como parte de esta estrategia, se destinan recursos importantes para fortalecer e incrementar la capacidad de las organizaciones sociales que financiamos a través de capacitaciones especializadas, contención psicológica para el staff de las organizaciones y entrenamientos en liderazgo y comunicación.

Adicionalmente, trabajamos con instituciones públicas que juegan roles importantes en la atención de este tipo de casos para fortalecer los protocolos de referencia y atención a víctimas.

Actualmente, esta alianza cuenta con la participación e inversión de FECHAC y esto nos permite beneficiar directamente a las siguientes asociaciones civiles:

Reason for its creation

High rates of violence are one of the factors that most affect the quality of life and the sense of well-being in a community. For many years, our city has been strongly affected by this social phenomenon and it is necessary to address it from different spheres of action. For this reason, collaborate with FICOSEC and contribute to its efforts, as it is the organization with the greatest experience and impact in matters of security and violence prevention in Ciudad Juárez. This allows us to influence a topic that is a priority, aligned with our mission and strengthen our ties with other nonprofit organizations in our community.

During 2022 we continued to support programs and projects to address and prevent gender-based violence against women and support programs to prevent child sexual violence. These programs provide their services in the southeast of Ciudad Juárez and started activities since 2019. The organizations that are part of this strategy provide psychological and legal support to women who live in contexts of violence, as well as training opportunities for entrepreneurship, networks support and activities for self-care.
