Gender Violence Prevention Strategy

Program description

In partnership with FICOSEC, we fund projects to address gender violence against women in the southeast of Ciudad Juárez. This investment seeks to strengthen projects that offer services and prevention strategies in this area of the city, which has been identified for its high rates of social, family, and gender violence. Currently, this partnership directly benefits the following civil associations: Casa Amiga Esther Chávez Cano, Sin Violencia, La Tenda di Cristo, Sin Violencia, Salud y Bienestar Comunitario, Colectiva Arte Comunidad y Equidad, y Mujeres Resilientes.

Reason for its creation

High rates of violence are one of the factors that most affect the quality of life and the sense of well-being in a community. For many years, our city has been strongly affected by this social phenomenon and it is necessary to address it from different spheres of action. For this reason, collaborate with FICOSEC and contribute to its efforts, as it is the organization with the greatest experience and impact in matters of security and violence prevention in Ciudad Juárez. This allows us to influence a topic that is a priority, aligned with our mission and strengthen our ties with other nonprofit organizations in our community.

The organizations that are part of this strategy provide psychological and legal support to women who live in contexts of violence, as well as training opportunities for entrepreneurship, networks support and activities for self-care.
